I used the boot utility Gujin as described in one of the solutions, and it worked a treat. I got the same looking for boot sector on CD message but it just went to the next drive instead of putting up a code 5 error. I don't know the same things you don't know. I'm thinking my BIOS can boot from a CD in the USB drive but not A DVD?
