Cannot Browse Computers
There are a couple of things we do at our remote sites (that do not have a local DNS server) to ensure they register with the DNS server at the main Request timed out. At our branch office only client computers are connected to the domain and they get their network setup from the local Cisco PIX DHCP service. Which is a common ploy to get frustrated people to just up and buy their product. Please note that on the Windows 7 box "Network Discovery" and "File and Printer Sharing" are BOTH turned ON in "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings". Funny thing is that from a computer at the branch office I can browse the complete network using my network places - both head and branch office computers showing up. now for the funny part.. I'm really hoping my computer's not trashed because other then this issue it runs perfectly.
