and TIA Not sure what happened here but in re-downloading the FULL version of the maps to my 3760LMT and not just the Canada/USA subset, everything came up OK. yeah, again, the device knows the map is there, but it's trying to authenticate the map (there is no authentication for it, it's from OSM). I've got an issue with the maps on the micro sd card they will not load !! Please note: You may lose the contents of your shopping cart when you change websites. I've got three of the CN cards I bought from Garmin....one more reason to stay with my 450 and 62's for a good long while.

i called garmin and they're basically like "we dont support 3rd party maps". There's an excellent chance that eventually ALL Garmin units, including your 450 and 62, will verify maps the same way. The European maps on the microSD card is working fine now with my 3790.First I did try to name the folder on the card to: \Garmin, \Garmin\Map, \Map and I also Was wondering if anybody else that has a 64s is having the same issue before I order a new card from Garmin.

Why? I assume it's a card that's formatted FAT32, otherwise it won't work. There is online documentation that the Edge 800 is capable of holding many different mapsets with different names; as long as they end with the .img extension, they'll work. As an experiment, I copied the City Navigator gmapsupp.img file, the unl file and the gma file from the original Garmin SD card, dropped them on the 8gb SD card, and Electronics can be a little tricky to figure as the same fix doesnt work everytime.
