Your ISP always has a limit to how fast you can download. Be careful not to switch the server address and nickname. edit: Looks like everyone in the forum you linked to is reporting it's back up. have a peek here Also, many ISP's will give you different usernames/passwords to dial in, retrieve email, and access the Usenet server.
Make sure you haven't set the number of connection in your newsreader too high. edit: switching to eu has also solved my problem. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Is it a routing issue for some of the ISP's listed here that are all having problems on DownDetector, or is it an Astraweb only issue? If the problem continues, you should report it to Astraweb. Glad to hear I'm not alone in this!

sanderjo commented May 16, 2015 PS: what does SABnzbd say when you click on Test Server for ssl-eu.astraweb.com ? Confirm your payments are up to date. Confirm your credit card expiration date. Or more likely, a number a little lower because ISP's usually exaggerate their speeds a little bit. Worst I've seen in years.
They refuse to acknowledge a problem. I'm not familiar with the codebase or python, so I'm not sure where to really start looking at the code. If your server allows two connections, then you will get an error if you try to download a third file. I understand that technology breaks sometimes but as a customer I expect some communication that there is a problem and that they're aware of it.
