I would like to convert these zero length strings into a completely blank cell. I am assuming that since the user entered something and then took it out, the field somehow now has a zero value string in it instead of being empty or null????? AFAIK, in a combobox control, a Null value in a field in the RowSource "becomes" a zero-length string in the Column value. I'm receiving an error message "Field cannot be a zero length string." I do have some records with null values for a few fields - no way around that. Here is how you set a field to required. Even if you type in a value and then come back later and delete it, it will still be NULL. I changed one method signature and broke 25,000 other classes.

A Zero Length value is an "empty string". What is really curved, spacetime, or simply the coordinate lines? This means you cannot join (link) two tables on Null values. If you do, Access will complain, like you saw in the previous paragraph.
