Cannot Change Directory Remote Chdir Failed
It could have to do something with the fact that I did this: sudo chmod 700 -R / I have a user, ftpUser and he is inside a group, ftpUsers. Must of had it cached somehow. Everything copies except two folders. The problem I am have it when I try to open up templates via FTP. http://electrictricycle.net/cannot-change/cannot-change-the-remote-directory.html

As devnull10 recommends the chown command can be used to change the owner and is probably a simpler way of fixing the access than trying to change the user ids in Could it be a SELinux context issue? And does he has a home dir? –OrangeTux Aug 10 '12 at 13:00 It's a local user, and the home dir is /home/user/public_html, but now I tried to reboot I've also done chgrp -R 500 /home/jon (and tried substituting "500" for "jon") to no effect.

It's not as though I cannot access the home directories for the users, simply that I cannot log directly into them from a login prompt. Server said: Can't change directory to /www/processwiredev/site-default/templates: No such file or directory Error -125: remote chdir failed I am able to get into these files when I use my I had to change it using the WebAdmin script you gave.
