Checking more, I discovered that setting "Modifiers only switch to next source" to for example Right-Ctrl + Right Shift or Compose *do* work, and the indicator follow the switch, but there I wanted to type something using the Unicode Hex code, but when I release Shift/Ctrl although the u remains underscored, the hex keys are not activated. I can add and remove text entry methods just fine, but this doesn't seem to solve the problem for me. I believe that bug is with the GUI not detecting that we have changed the default layout, and that we now have custom settings. You can add more if you wish, or close the dialog. Therefore the *only* layout was the norwegian one and it is actually the norwegian one and not the US. E.g., I press the @ key and another character comes out.
