In case there are not, how can I change the permissions from my existing shared folder so it will work? SynoCommunity member moneytoo commented Jun 15, 2014 My 2 cents: synoacltool is able to set the same permissions as synoshare does for shares. If you're a Mac user, tick "Enable SSH service" and hit "Apply". EDIT: Aha! 777'd /volume2/files but left all its subfolders (who are also owned by admin:users) as drwxrw---- and not all is good.

Not really sure what to do as I can get both the things I want but not at the same time! Synology Root Password I installed the SABnzbd plugin.
