I am doing as-built drawings, but using the proportion on an old drawing, so I really don't even need the xref anymore since they will be completely new drawings.

Clicking on bolt_array|bolt or picking the Next button displays the image of the bolt, as shown in Figure 4. you want to edit five different nested blocks, you'll have to enter the REFEDIT command five different times. Once the user kicked out of the drawing (and got the autosave) and went back in things behaved swimmingly. If you want to remove an object from the working set (and delete it from the referenced drawing), you can do so by selecting the Remove objects from the working set. that's a persistent bugger you got there... Setting xedit to 0 in a drawing will block anyone from using the REFEDIT command on it.

Xedit controls whether the REFEDIT command can be used on the current drawing. This means that you have to add these manually. Join Us! *Eng-Tips's functionality depends on members receiving e-mail. There's also a system variable that will turn this feature off completely within a drawing (if you really must!).

However, nothing works. So here's the scenario: the hole within the bolt is the wrong diameter. I am very new to using autoCAD, and I am trying to save a file that had already been created before I began working with it. I'm curious to get a hold of the file and see what shows up.

or bug? After I've cycled through to the nested block Bolt, I'll dismiss the dialog by hitting the OK button. I finally managed to figure out that if I hit "undo" to a point prior to issuing the refedit command, I could save the drawing, but I still cannot refedit a Redefining an existing block is not a very exciting task, tedious at best.

haha edit: Oh, but yes. To do it, you are expected to click a specific button (Discard Changes/Save Changes) in the Refedit toolbar. AutoCAD .NET :: Adding Custom Code In Reference Editing And RefEdit Command ADVERTISEMENT AutoCAD 2010 :: 2012 Stuck On Loading Screen?
