Cannot Complete The Cd Writing Wizard Xp

I even tried installing a newer HP DVD Writer drive (seems to use the existing Microsoft driver 5.1.2535.0 date 7/1/2001 for HP DVD Writer 200i, but the problem persists. Each time I try I get the error > > > message...Cannot complete the cd writing wizard. Right now i am using CDBurnerXP Pro 3 (please, no more comments and suggestions about the burner - I have used them all and the burner s/w is not the problem!). Currently I have not reinstalled the Nero software. (I have been able to use the Nero software to burn CD whilst experiencing problems with the 'Windows CD Wizard'. http://electrictricycle.net/cannot-complete/cannot-complete-cd-writing-wizard-error-writing-process.html

If none of the above works, check the manufacturer of the CD drive web site for a driver compatible with XP, particularly if you upgraded to XP. Even so, it seemed to stop itself after about 30 seconds of inactivity. 2) I right-clicked on the CD Drive, chose Properties, and on the Recording tab, lowered the write speed. SP2 works well with new computers with 2005 versions of antivirus software, but the problems are huge when the client has Internet Security 2003 or 2004, Systemworks 2003 or 2004, Yahoo, i dont have any troubles usually.

At this point, I have a work around that satisifes the PC owner. It doesn't tell me what the error was, just that there was an > error. It is common for people to install/use the same programs (QuickTime, Nortons, Office, etc.) on all of their machines, and thusly lend, unknowingly, to a common problem. great post to read b) Watch out for recent Windows updates and c) Look for corrupt files.
