I am actually starting a new job where I will be using Altiris which i heard is the bomb.I have never ghosted anything that needed raid drivers.and you see I said right? But you knew that... So Chipotle is the answer to all Ghost problems from what I can tell. You might need to get your network guy to changed the IP Helper address if you're on a Cisco network. If the system is set to DHCP (as almost all our systems our), the client will just continue polling for the server (looking for the correct server) but never actually connect Please don't spam the forum. https://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/trying-connect-client-ghost-cast-server Both ways had the same result.

I just went to set up Ethereal on a laptop to check the connections and noticed that the laptop had discovered the server. So it looks like switching issues can be ruled out as a possible cause.

How many clients do have trying to connect to the server? spam? If you then set the system back to DHCP, Ghost will not be able to find the server anymore. Thanks a lot.

You said "I recently reinstalled our Ghost server." Did you reinstall the OS or reinstalled only ghost? It never recreates the pubkey.crt since it never seems to make a connection to the new server (unless it has a static IP). We have around 175 clients at any time on the network, all of which would be trying to connect to the server.
