When I did this a message popped up telling me this page is not available offline and offered me the option to connect or stay offline. then restart IE. 4. It started when I was infected with one of those fake virus scanner programs - XP Defender 2010 (av.exe). use JV16 to weed out the other AVG programs out of my registery. useful reference
I unchecked it and checked the auto detect proxy box and my problem was solved. I think it has something to do with Google desktop or HP stuff. Thanks. Reboot your computer. directory
