i tried the facebook ichat but does this mean that my friends must hav a mac inorder to chat with me?? Disable and reenable all accounts. Members have access to different forum appearance options, and many more functions. My internet sharing is off, everthing is off.

Ah, finally fixed! 10.7.2 must have changed it to api.oscar.aol.com. Variants such as Logging in without SSL and then Logging Out and turning SSL On again can help when a Connection has been Lost due to external factors (you lost your I almost felt sorry for the "genius" as we both realized that iChat was the problem. similarly, the screenshot above shows the username suffixed with @chat.facebook.com.

AT LAST!!! I tried to turn the internet sharing off but then i realized that it was never on in the first place. Please be assured there is no simple cure. It's really frustrating, and I don't even use iChat all that much.
