Looked for a "Repair" option but it just showed as if I was trying to reinstall Windows. Do whatever tasks you require, and when you are done, reboot to go back into normal mode. A hard drive that can't read and write information properly certainly can't load an operating system properly - even Safe Mode.Replace your hard drive if your tests show an issue.
