Were you saying that you got to safe mode but command prompt did not work ? Unfortunately, Startup Settings only appears as an option in Advanced Startup Options if you access it from within Windows. Start button > search box, type cmd > top left, RIGHT click at cmd.exe > select Run As Administrator > now you have the elevated command prompt. old now..Continuing to try and solve a problem on only 1 computer is like banging your head against the wall; your head will fail before the wall will! one thing more i can not run my operating system in normal mode and not have win os disc. Open Command Prompt.Advanced Startup Options (Windows 10/8): Tap or click on Troubleshoot, then Advanced options, and finally windows loads files but does not show the dos screen even if i choose simple 'safe mode' option.

Period.Now...the reason your friend gets the command prompt and not a logon screen is because he/she has a blank admin password, and, as a result, does not get asked for credentials. No normal desktop is visible, the surrounding of the windows is black, only with Safe Mode typed in the four corners. You have my reply in the other thread you posted.........
