Use cloning software to clone my small SSD drive.3. After cloning the old drive, it won't boot. Should it - or does that only show when the disk IS the activeboot disk? I'm not sure how to do that though. this contact form
Not the answer you're looking for? If I reclone, do I just clone the partition or the volume? Seems to me that, if I had an intermittant SSD, then the SSD would cut out from time to time in use but, so far, that hasn't happened. Would the new cloned SSD be activated? more info here

I am doing some work on this and I will let you know of the results. Try to repair startup if the disk has problem booting. You could make a single image file of all necessary partitions or make one image file for each of the necessary partitions. But it did not boot. PLEASE! Or can you make one using the installation files?
Select source disk you want to clone. I have checked the partitions on my laptop now and I see that the system partition reserved partition is on the hard drive. Also I did partition cloning - one by one (not whole disk cloning as I wanted to increase the new boot partition on the SSD and make the others smaller) A When I boot from Disk 1, the boot menu options remain the same as before (WINXP, WIN7, WIN7_2) and do not include the new windows in the new ssd (WIN7_NEW).
