I actually validated that by changing the clock again I had re-introduced the problem. It's insane to think that any ordinary users will be able to do this. i have 4 xp pcs and 1 windows 7 pc. For some reason (a bug?), changing the location type only works if the computer is connected to an identified network.Turn sharing on or off Private and Public profiles for unidentified networks Both users are part of a domain group, "CAD Users", that have admin rights on both workstations, and obviously to that folder. I run ccleaner to clean up my registry. Good luck.

What happens when you try and access the mounted drives? Win7 H-P x64 on a Lenovo laptop sees a Vista box on the workgroup, but will not access it, while XP machines have no problem.
