The desktop is wired to the Netgear router and the laptop connects wirelessly to the router. It all works but when I click on the little icons on the Vista laptop to see what wireless networks are available, there appears to be two. have you found a solution to your router problem. TKIP should work as well, it's just less secure than AES... I dont understand. I had a secure connection before the work was done. PLease help!!!!
